Loosely based on the lives of five slave women who lived on the Whylly Plantation at Clifton, the play explores issues of the desire for mental and physical freedom and the concept that all life is "sacred space. Dec 5 - 7 Mark Knowles Celebrity Tennis Invitational The 8th Annual Mark Knowles Celebrity Tennis Invitational is held at the Atlantis Tennis Centre, Paradise Island with many of the world's top players. This year, expect to see stars such as Mark Knowles, Andy Murray, Xavier Malisse, Bob & Mike Bryan, Sabine Lisicki, Michaella Krajicek,and the Japanese teen-wonder, 18 year old Kei Nishikori, the youngest player in the top ATP 100. The event is dedicated to the memory of Gene Scott, a lifelong member of Lyford Cay, and a great friend of Bahamian tennis.
