Grand Bahama Regatta

Set in beautiful Taino Beach, activities begin of June 19 at the Regatta site with the "Best of the Best in Bahamian Entertainment" featuring Ophie & The Boys, Watch Out, Ultra Vibes, Mango, Kevin Fox, Tyrone Green and native show with fire dancers, limbo and more. On June 20 Sloop racing starts promptly at 10am followed by the opening ceremony 8pm with guest speaker the Honorable Byron Woodside, Minister of State for Youth and Sports. June 21 is race day. Races continue on June 22 and the sailing champions will be presented with their prizes and awards at the closing ceremony with guest speaker the Hon. Neko C. Grant, Minister for Tourism and Aviation. There will also be lots of other entertainment, food and drinks.

Track & Field Championships

Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations presents the National Junior Track & Field Championships at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium. BIFF Big Screen Art Scene

The Big Screen Art Scene kicks off the Bahamas International Film Festival's fifth year. Features a non-traditional auction and celebration at Popopstudios. 51 “Collectors” tickets are available for $250 and each ticket holder will receive a piece of original art at a minimum value of $300. “Aficionado” tickets are available for $25 for the many activities outside of the auction. BGF Open Trials

The Bahamas Golf Federation trials open to golfers interested in participating in the 52nd Annual Caribbean Amateur Golf Championship. Interested players must be a financial member of the BGF and pay a $400 entry fee for 72 holes. At Blue Shark Golf Course at South Ocean on the 27th & 28th and at the Lyford Cay Golf Course on the 29th.
