2008 Regatta

Lombard Odier Darrier Hentsch Private Bank and Trust and the Bahamas Sailing Association present the 5.5 World Championship, hosted by the Nassau Yacht Club. Seven boats and teams from Great Britain, Finland, France, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, the Netherlands and The Bahamas compete for the World Championship the Scandinavian Gold Cup and the Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Cup (also used for the Bahamas Nationals). Applications for the 2008 Miss Bahamas World Beauty Pageant are now being accepted.  Open to Bahamian females ages 17 - 24.  Candidates must be single, have no children, nor have ever been pregnant or given birth. Minimum height requirement 5ft 5 and max height of 6ft 2. Weight must be proportionate to height.
