Within the context of emancipation, The International Languages And Cultures Institute Of COB presents, “The Last Supper”, a Cuban film by Tomás Guttiérez Álea. It is an allegorical satire about Christianity in an oppressive society, based on an incident in 18th Century Cuba. A guilt-ridden Count is torn between the need to keep up production on his plantation and his desire to introduce Christianity to his slaves.
