"Summer Bliss" Fashion Show

This fashion show will feature a range of fashions by Zangena "Jean" Munroe, a seamstress/ designer with over 20 years of experience and Stanford Cooper, a guest designer from New York. The unique presentation will introduce the S-Z collection, which features a mix of children's, casual, church, evening, prom and wedding attire. Junkanoo Summer Festival

"A Walk Through History," presented is along Bay St on Tuesdays and Fridays 9 am to 6 pm. The festival includes a craft fair, farmers market, face painting, caricature artists, block parties, shopping, Rake 'n Scrape Junkanoo and live music. Bay Street shops are decorated with the theme. Music & Heritage Celebration

On Saturdays until the 28th of July, on Arawak Cay, the Junkanoo Summer Festival features craft displays, live music, dancing, games, exhibitions, Quadrille dancing instruction, a Junkanoo Summer Camp, Junkanoo rush-outs at 5:30 pm and 10 pm and more. The Astro Club offers an astronomy tour to Fort Charlotte Hill. Bus pick up is at 7 pm from Arawak Cay. NAGB Summer Art Workshop: "The Poetry Shack"

An intensive poetry workshop led by Christian Campbell about developing the craft and publishing in local and international journals. This course focuses traditional poetic forms, metaphor, tone and diction and serves as a creative laboratory in which participants translate their visions, build and innovate. Home Economists Conference

17th Biennial Conference of the Caribbean Association of Home Economists (CAHE). This year's theme, "Home Economics Education: Enhancing and Sustaining the Quality of the Workforce in the Caribbean." Orlando Magic Basketball Camp

Dubbed "Magic in Paradise," the camp will be hosted by top Orlando Magic players and coaches. The 34th Annual Bahamas Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation's (BBFF) National Championships. Male titles up for grabs include; bantamweight, lightweight, welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, heavyweight and super heavyweight. Female titles include lightweight and heavyweight. Winners expected to compose a national team to compete at the CAC Championships in Bermuda in October. The College of The Bahamas Alumni Association Hall of Fame is seeking nominations of a COB alumna/alumnus who is making significant contributions to the development of The Bahamas and whose life is the hallmark of COB's motto, "Knowledge, Truth, Integrity." Miss Bahamas World Tourism Pageant

This year 15 young ladies will compete for the titles of Miss Bahamas World, Miss Bahamas Tourism Queen International, and Miss Bahamas Intercontinental. She will go on to represent The Bahamas at 2008 Top Model of the World competition. Held under the theme "Out of Africa - a Celebration of Freedom!"
