Cocktail Receptions For All COB Graduates

The College of The Bahamas's new Alumni Relations & Development (AR&D) department will play an integral role in the transition of COB into a University. The department, under the President's office, invites graduates of each COB school to a series of four cocktail receptions at President Janyne Hodder's home. On Thursday March 29, graduates from the Bahamas Hotel Training College or the College's Culinary and Hospitality Management Institute are invited; on April 26th, graduates of the School of Business are invited; on May 3rd, graduates from The Schools of Communication and Creative Arts, English and Social Sciences and on May 10, graduates from The Schools of Science & Technology and Education. All-Andros & Berry Islands Regatta

Over 30 sailing sloops compete at the Frank Hanna All-Andros and Berry Islands Regatta in Morgan's Bluff, Andros. This major sailing event is a prelude to the National Family Island Regatta in George Town, Exuma on April 24-28. Organisers say the prize money will match the Exuma races' purse which includes $40,000 from the government. The A, B and C-classes sloops will vie for the 'Baha Mar Boat of the Year' $35,000 award. Historical Society Talk - Peter J. Roberts - Bahamas DNA Genealogy Project

“Genetic Genealogy and the Results of The Bahamas DNA Project.” The Bahamas DNA Project was launched in 2004 to support genealogy research.
