June 22 Essay Competition Deadline Hosted by The Min. of the Public Service as part of their 8th Annual Public Service Week. Open to junior and senior high school students. Topic: The Public Service - Promoting Quality Service in the Workplace. Essay should consist of 250 - 300 words for junior high students and 450 - 500 for senior. Reed is the president of The Mackinac Center For Public Policy in Michigan, the historic center for the mass production of automobiles. Since the early 1970s the industry has been challenged by foreign competition with a massive impact on taxation, education, public welfare and labor relations.
