Authentically Bahamian Craft Show

Features more than 70 booths with a wide selection of high quality authentic gifts and craft items including Christmas ornaments and accessories, fine conch shell jewelry, scented soaps and candles, straw craft, hand-made Androsia tablecloths, Junkanoo dolls, Bahamian designer Christmas cards, scenic paintings, Christmas poinsettias and plants and a number of new products, all locally produced. Other activities includes the BHA's Silent Auction, an Authentic Fashion Show featuring high quality Bahamian apparel and accessories, culinary corner with chefs preparing tasty Christmas recipes and a Junkanoo Rush-out. Breitling Golf Classic

A premier golfing event for amateurs from over the Caribbean, the US, Ireland, France and other countires. Features five flights of competition for over $40,000 in watches and prizes. The flights are divided into handicap groups 0-5, 6-9, 10-12, 13-18 and 19-24 and the participants will play Gross within those flights. A practice round will be held on Dec 7. Proceeds from the event to aid The National Workers' Cooperative Credit Union's Scholarship Fund, the Bahamas Golf Federation and the Northern Bahamas Council for the Disabled. The Nutcracker Suite Ballet

Presented by The Bahamas National Dance Troupe. The Nutcracker Ballet is an epic fairy tale-ballet in two acts by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, composed in 1891-92, and based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, a story by E. T. A. Hoffmann. In Western countries, this ballet has become among the most popular ballets performed, primarily around Christmas time. Christmas Expressions: A memorial for Mrs. Pauline Glasby. Presented by The Nassau Renaissance Singers under the distinguished patronage of Their Excellencies The Governor General Arthur D. A number of local groups including The National Youth Choir, The College of the Bahamas Combined Orchestras, the Defense Force and Police Band, the Diocesan Chorale, Balcanto Singers, the Dicey Doh Male Quartet and the Nassau Renaissance Singers will be performing to honor Mrs. Glasby.
