Sept 25 - 29 Caribbean Crisis Centres Conference The Bahamas Crisis Centre hosts a Conference of Caribbean Crisis Centres under the theme, "Creating Partnerships to Confront Sexual Violence in the Caribbean." The conference aims to promote awareness and advocacy in combating sexual violence. Over 14 participating countries including Dominica, St. Lucia, Barbados, Jamaica and Suriname will be in attendance. Topics include Enlisting Corporate Support, The Undetected Rapist and The Neurobiology of Trauma. The various crisis centres will discuss what the best practices throughout the Caribbean are and will focus on prevention and how men can assist in spreading the message of anti-sexual violence. The Fitness Competition will judge women in short, medium and tall categories and will include two piece, sports wear and cocktail gown performances.
